Kesäisessä säässä suomalaiset kokoontuivat Kansalaistorille tukeakseen sananvapauden periaatetta ja oikeutta. Sananvapauden takia vangittu Ilja Janitskin sai paljon tukea puhujilta. Tapahtuma sujui tällä kertaa ilman, että poliisi olisi häkittänyt tai häirinnyt kansallismielisiä. Sensijaan anarkistien ja suvaitsevaiston puolelta maijan häkin ovet aukaistiin useamminkin.
